Its been quite a while since I posted here, but I still check the site about 15 times a day =)
This project started as a simple sketch that I enjoyed so much, that I decided to add another dimension to it. The low poly meshes were created in Maya, the detail was added with Zbrush (God bless subtools =), the texturing was done using photoshop (a little bit of zapplink), and the render was done using mental ray. I'll do my best to get some wireframes up aswell. You can check out my site for slightly high res images. Enjoy!
